Commonplace 1st Birthday Celebration in San Diego
Commonplace 1st birthday is a celebration of a full year of bringing people together through community, creativity, and connection in San Diego. Join us on Sunday, August 16, from 2–5 PM at Mujeres Brew House for an afternoon of cake, conversation, art, games, and new friendships.
Celebrate One Year of Commonplace
Over the past year, Commonplace has hosted more than 70 events throughout San Diego, including jewelry workshops, poetry nights, language clubs, clothing swaps, self-defense classes, yoga, Pilates, and other community gatherings. This first birthday celebration brings together some of the things that have made Commonplace special throughout the year.
Whether you have attended dozens of Commonplace events or this will be your first, you are invited. The goal is simple: create a welcoming space where people can meet someone new, enjoy themselves, and feel part of the community.
What to Expect at the Birthday Celebration
Come ready to connect, play, create, and celebrate. Conversation cards will be available to help break the ice and make it easier to meet other guests. You can also practice your Spanish, French, or Portuguese while enjoying casual conversations with other attendees.
There will be art activities and games for everyone to enjoy, along with sweet treats and, of course, birthday cake. You do not need to know anyone beforehand or have attended a previous event. Come on your own, bring a friend, or simply stop by and see what Commonplace is all about.
