Practice French in a Fun, Social Setting

Join Commonplace for a French Club Social Meetup at Mon Cheri in San Diego from 6:00 – 7:30 PM on August 19th. This relaxed and friendly event gives you a chance to practice French, meet new people, and enjoy a great local spot. Most importantly, it offers a welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable joining the conversation. Please sign up as spaces are limited.

Whether you are new to French or already speak it well, this meetup is for you. You do not need perfect grammar or a large vocabulary. Instead, you only need a willingness to try. Because of this, many people find it easier to speak and learn in this setting than in a classroom.

A Casual Way to Learn and Connect

This is not a class or a lesson. Instead, it is a social hour built around real conversations. You will talk in small groups and switch between French and English when needed. In addition, we will help introduce people so no one feels left out.

If you feel shy, that is okay. You can start by listening. Then, when you feel ready, you can join in. Over time, you will notice your confidence grow.

What You Can Expect

First, expect friendly faces and easy conversation. Next, expect laughter and a mix of French and English. Finally, expect to leave feeling glad you came.

You can come alone or bring a friend. Either way, you will meet new people and practice your French. Most of all, you will spend an hour doing something fun and different.
